He advises domestic and foreign companies in civil, commercial, fiduciary, banking, securities market and asset securitization transactions, and in delegations. He has participated in national and international arbitrations. He has given conferences and postgraduate courses in Ecuador and Latin America as an expert in trust matters. He is the author of the books “El Fideicomiso en Derecho Civil y Comercial del Ecuador” (1996); El Fideicomiso (2000) and “Manual de Fideicomiso en Ecuador y América Latina” (2009), as well as other publications in his areas of expertise.
For his services to the country, he has received the Decoration of the National Order of Merit, in the rank of Grand Officer. He has served as General Legal Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic of Ecuador.
